Frequently asked questions

Shower, exfoliate, and shave any unwanted hair at least 8 hours before your appointment. DON’T apply lotions, perfume, makeup, or deodorant as these can be a barrier to the solution setting into your skin.

— how to prep?

During your appointment you will disrobe to your comfort level. You can tan nude or wear undergarments/bikini or anything that you don’t mind potentially staining from the solution.

After your appointment you should wear loose clothing and no bra.

— what to wear?

Depending on your solution you’ll want to avoid the following for the next 4-12 hours after your spray:

showering, bathing, swimming, activities that make you sweat heavily.

— when to shower?

You should get any of these services done 24-48 hours before your spray tan.

— nails, lashes, wax

If you’re more comfortable wearing a shower cap (or other head piece) to protect your hair that’s completely ok. I don’t provide these items so you will need to bring your own.

— hair extensions

My solutions make getting a spray tan safe no matter what point of your pregnancy you’re in. My solutions are also safe for nursing moms. I always say to just double check with your OB/Midwife.

— pregnancy and spray tans

Your tan can last 7-10 days depending on how you care for it. Moisturizing twice a day, and avoiding soaps, washes, and lotions that contain exfoliants and oils.

Two lotions I highly recommend are CeraVe Daily Moisturizing Lotion and Hempz Original.

— maintenance

Booking 1 day before vacation is perfect! Booking 2 days before your event is best. If you’re a bride we recommend tanning 2 days before the big day!

— when should I schedule?

There is no 100% guarantee that staining won’t happen. To avoid it from happening we recommend wearing dark, loose and long clothing immediately after your appointment and if you’re sleeping in your tan, sleeping in similar clothing.
